Ingredients
Chicken
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp Corn starch
- 1 tbsp EverCrisp optional but recommended
- Neutral Oil for deep frying
Sauce
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp Rice vinegar
- 0.5 tsp Chili flakes to 1 tsp
- 1 tsp Chili crisp optional
Finish
- Scallions
- Sesame seeds
- Chili oil drizzle, optional
Instructions
Prep
- Cut thighs into bite-sized chunks. Toss with salt, pepper, cornstarch, and EverCrisp until evenly coated.

Fry
- Heat oil to 350–360°F. Fry chicken in batches until deeply golden and crispy, 6–8 minutes. Drain on wire rack.

Sauce
- In a pan over medium-low, add honey, soy, garlic, vinegar, chili flakes, and chili crisp. Simmer 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.

Glaze
- Remove pan from heat. Add fried chicken to sauce and toss gently until fully lacquered. Toss off heat to preserve crispiness.

Finish
- Transfer to plate. Top with scallions, sesame, and optional chili oil.
